Butter Swim Biscuit Recipe {Just 4 Ingredients}
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c Self Rising Flour I use White Lily
- 1 T sugar
- 1 3/4 c buttermilk
- 1 stick melted butter I use Kerry Gold
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Whisk flour and sugar together until blended
- Stir in buttermilk and mix until dough forms
- Pour melted butter into a 10 inch cast iron skillet
- Drop dough into skillet and spread evenly over the butter. The butter will start to cover the biscuits
- Score the dough into 9 squares (really triangles in the corners).
- Place in oven for 28 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve with jam, jelly or honey. Say Grace and enjoy!!

Hello, please let me know the calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbs, etc., in this recipe. I would love to try this recipes, but I’m watching the saturated fats, sodium, carbs, etc., in my diet. Are there any substitute ingredients that can be used to help reduce the calories and fat?

Just made these tonight and they were AH-MAZ-ING! I’m not sure if the size of my skillet was off or my oven runs hot, but my biscuits only took about 20 minutes. Anyway, the biscuits were tender, bouncy, and melt-in-your-mouth crunchy around the outside edges. Thank you!

These biscuits are the bomb and so very easy. They taste better when they have cooled down some. I love the crusty bottom and are super delicious with home canned jam. Highly recommended. p.s. very easy to make. Elementary for beginning cooks but taste like Grandma’s.
