Slow Cooker Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

These yummy slow cooker roasted garlic Parmesan chicken wings are sure to be the spotlight of your next party!!

Slow Cooker Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

Happy September, Guys! How were your Labor Day festivities? We enjoyed it with family, of course. I was sooooo excited to see my brother, Anton who I don’t get to see very often. Life gets in the way and before you know it it’s been a year or even two!! Now that he lives literally right around the corner, we have no excuses, right?!?!? Gotta make time for the family!!!

We decided to switch things up this Labor Day and I decided to pull out my trusty slow cooker and meet a special request for these Slow Cooker Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings. {Sorry for the delay, Kym!!! :)} Let me tell you…these wings were a huge hit with the family!! So much so that I made them twice over the weekend!! They were just that finger lickin’ good!! These Slow Cooker Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings are pretty similar to the Buffalo Wild Wing version but there is no deep frying involved so they’re practically healthy, right??? I guess I may be stretching things a bit there!!! Anyway, I tossed them in my slow cooker with a few condiments and spices then I broiled them to crisp up the skin a bit and VOILA!!! Tastyness ensued!!! These Slow Cooker Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings are simply a must try!!!

Speaking of family…we all know that it’s important to create and foster those great relationships within our families. We all have our own personalities and individuality, right?!?!  If we examine ourselves, are we really getting to know them and trying to discover their needs as an individual? Or are we trying to figure out what’s in it for me???? It’s not always easy but it’s definitely necessary to put others needs before our own if we desire to truly grow our relationships within our families. Ultimately, true love is all about sacrifice, right???  I love the way the New Living Translation says that, it doesn’t demand it’s own way. – 1 Corinthians 13:5 (NLT). That speaks volumes to me by the way. Soooooo, what can I do for you today??? Say Grace and enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 2.5 lbs. chicken wing dings
  • 1 whole garlic bulb
  • 1 T. extra virgin olive oil
  • kosher salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic Parmesan Sauce
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • 1 tsp. fresh thyme
  • 2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. mayo
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan
  • 2 T. apple cider vinegar
  • 2 T. corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • Parmesan garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Slice top off of entire garlic bulb and place on a sheet of foil. Drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. Wrap foil around the entire bulb creating a pouch. Place in the oven and roast for 40 minutes.
  • Once cooled, squish all of the roasted garlic into a bowl and combine remaining ingredients together EXCEPT the chicken broth. Mix well.
  • Divide the mixture in half; adding the chicken broth to one half. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate the remaining half.
  • Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. Toss in chicken wings. Pour the sauce that's been combined with the chicken broth over the wings. Cook wings on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.
  • Once completely done, place wings in one layer on foil lined baking sheet. Broil for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove from the oven.
  • Brush and cover the wings with the remaining sauce. Garnish with more Parmesan and serve with reserved sauce for dipping. Say Grace and enjoy!!
