This Bahama Breeze copycat fire roasted jerk shrimp dish is simmered in a delicious garlic-thyme butter and served with crusty French bread for sopping!
Don’t you just love the food and atmosphere at Bahama Breeze?!?!?!? With all of the hustle and bustle of life, this seems to be the closest and next best spot for me to experience a relaxing tropical moment in time. Just daydreaming of the wind in my hair as I soak up the sun’s rays on a beautiful white sandy beach!!! {Sigh} I’m then quickly snapped out of it with requests to do this and demands to do that from others all around. 🙂
Why does relaxation seem to be a foreign word or concept for me? I don’t know about you but it’s always a challenge for me to take time out to rest, relax, refresh AND learn to use the word “No!” What a concept?!?!? Although be it difficult for this two letter word to just roll off my tongue. I digress. Where were we?
Back to this delicious copycat jerk shrimp recipe. Every time we eat there, I always order the Skillet Simmered Jerk Shrimp. Introduced to me be my friend, Alicia…I can’t seem to get enough of it! Oh how we love sopping up those delicious juices with that crusty bread! You will fall in love with this dish guys if you haven’t already tried it and this copycat recipe comes pretty close to the original.
Well, I’m looking forward to taking a much needed restful, relaxing, and refreshing vacation in the near future. It’s important for us to take some time to rest and recharge ourselves so that we can be better instruments for the Kingdom of God. We simply cannot be everything to everyone at all times. His Word says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 (KJV). This flavorful caribbean dish reminds me of exactly where I need to be, which is spending more time in God’s presence where there is rest for the weary and fullness of joy! 🙂 Say Grace and enjoy!!

Hello! I’m so excited to try this dish!! I plan on making it this weekend! I just wanted to know if you have to use beer or if there are substitutions that I can use besides beer. Do you just use butter? Thank you!
Felesha says
You can try chicken stock.

I made this last night for a light dinner and after one bite I was in love!!! It really tasted like what I remembered from Bahama Breeze. I had to make my own jerk seasoning(none in the store), which worked out perfectly. It was really just SO GOOD!!! Thank you for adding a new recipe to my repitoire!
Felesha says
So glad you enjoyed Toni!!
