Over The Rainbow Green Smoothie {Sip Organic Juice Bar Copycat} {Video}

January 13, 2016 by Felesha 13 Comments

This delicious green smoothie blend of spinach, celery, dates, banana, almond butter, hemp protein and rice milk makes for a great jump start to the day!

Over The Rainbow Green Smoothie-3

Every now and then, I get the urge to get clean. WAIT! That didn’t come out right. Yes, I bathe daily. 🙂 What I really meant was that I get the urge to get healthy. You know when you get that lethargic-sluggish feeling and you need a kick start. Almost like when your car needs an oil change. Yeah! That’s right…an oil change for the body. When I first heard of green smoothies, I thought, well as my granddaughter Makiyah says, “GiGi, that looks yucky!” But when I finally tasted one, I thought they were just yummy and if you put them in a colored glass…with a lid…oh and a colored straw, you’d never know it contained spinach at all. Makiyah felt the same as well by the way! 🙂

Over The Rainbow Green Smoothie-4

I travel quite a bit for work and occasionally, I make it over to the western part of the state. I stumbled upon Sip Organic Juice Bar in Grand Rapids, MI and fell in love with their recipes. So much so that I went out and purchased a Vitamix of my very own. (That machine does wonders by the way…money well spent). Back to Sip…I’ve tried several of their green smoothies and my favorite has to be their Over The Rainbow green smoothie.

It combines spinach, celery, dates, bananas, almond butter, hemp protein and super cold rice milk. I think I love it so much because of the sweetness of those dates. What’s your opinion on dates by the way? Do you think they’re good for you? This Over The Rainbow Green Smoothie is so yummy that it almost makes me feel a little guilty for drinking it as I could drink one daily!

Over The Rainbow Green Smoothie-2

Speaking of rainbows…don’t you love every time you see one? God’s creation is certainly beautiful. Of course, it’s His reminder of the covenant that He made with Noah to never again destroy the earth as He did with the flood. When I see them, it always puts me in remembrance of what the Lord has promised me. Are you holding on to the promises of God? It’s faith that brings about the fulfillment of those promises and it certainly pleases Him when we walk by faith. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (KJV). I’m definitely looking forward to the physical manifestation of His promises to me. After all, 2016 is A Great Year for whatever God has promised you and that you’re in faith to receive.  Say Grace and enjoy guys! 🙂
