About Me

Hi! I’m Felesha!

Tex-Mex foodie (married to a Southern Comfort foodie), praise & ballroom dancer and follower of JESUS! I enjoy traveling, decorating, dancing and well, the obvious, GOOD COMFORT FOOD! Some of my favorites include anything made with cheese or chocolate. I’m not that hard to please. Can you tell?  I actually thought about naming this blog “Cheese & Chocolate”, but I digress.

IMG_0326Cooking and baking for family & friends, and especially for my wonderfully, supportive hubby, Willie brings me so much joy! How cute is he?!?!  🙂 His picky, country-boy palette pushes my cooking skills to new heights. As a matter of fact, nothing will ever appear on this blog without his stamp (“That’s great!”) of approval. Basically, I love creating his smiles (or anyone else’s in Southeastern Michigan, for that matter) with delicious, yummy food!

We have a precocious son and miracle named Jackson who is currently 4 and keeps us on our toes. He is such a bright spot in our lives and to God be the Glory for him.

I’ve spent the last thirteen years working as a sales rep in the healthcare industry where I am dedicated to helping the senior population live their best lives by staying strong and functional in their private homes. It’s so rewarding to see how your contribution helps to improve the quality of the lives around you.

Other Fun Facts About Me

My middle name is Chantélle. I added the “é ” and the “e”(not legally) because it looks fancy! 🙂

My favorite coffee drink is a short one pump nonfat hazelnut latte. No deviations please!

My favorite worship song is Oceans by Hillsong United. Oh to be in His presence!

My favorite food is Tex-Mex but I think you already knew that. 🙂

My favorite color is red. How romantic?!?!?

I don’t have any pets in the house at the moment but I’d really love a cute and cuddly Shih Tzu.

My favorite perfume at the moment is Jimmy Choo. It’s just lovely!

My favorite holiday is Christmas! Yes! Jesus is the reason for the season!

I have two sisters, Loreal and Michelle and two brothers, Christian and Anton. I’m second to the oldest.

My favorite movie is The Notebook. Noah and Allie. I’m a romanticist at heart. Where’s my box of tissue? 🙁

My favorite TV show is still A Different World. Gotta love Dwayne and Whitley!

I’m 5’3 so I’m always in heels. I inherited this from my dad’s side of the family. Love you grandad! 🙂

I’m so happy that you stopped by and I’d love to get to know you a little better as well! I’m hoping this blog inspires you to get your own creative juices flowing in the kitchen as well! I certainly look forward to seeing you back here again soon. Until then, Say Grace and enjoy!!

    Hi Felesha!
I would like to start by thanking you for all your wonderful recipes!!!
On you recipe for mixing the Lemon~ blueberry pancake batter together do you mix all ingredients together!?…you have the coconut oil and syrup included in the mix. Is the syrup included for sweetness!? Just asking because I want to try them tomorrow!
    Thank you!

Hi Winnie!! So glad that you’re enjoying the blog. Yes, all of those ingredients are incorporated right into the batter. With my homemade pancake batter, I always add a little sugar for sweetness but since this is Paleo, I used maple syrup. Honey would work as well. Let me know how they turn out for you!! 🙂

Hi Felesha, I got ahold of your blog looking for Sweet Potatoe Pie Recipes and made your SP Cassarole for Thanksgiving that year and I will never make sweet potatoes any other way!! Oooh and yo Mama’s dressing!!! Sister it was a hit! My Son’s friend hadn’t eaten dressing in years and was afraid to try it. Let me just say…he has been won back to the dressing side of Thanksgiving lol! Girl, I been trying to make a good dressing for years. Well it won’t be nothing if it ain’t your Mama’s recipe that’s all. Sister thank you so much for sharing your blessings with us! I love me some all of Jesus too! and so glad I found you 🙂 May the Lord continue to Bless and Keep you!
