Salted Caramel Goodness
A homemade salted caramel sauce that is sure to change your entire outlook on life!!!
- 1 c. white sugar
- 6 T. butter cut
- 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp. fleur de sel or flaky sea salt
In a medium saucepan, cook the sugar until it melts completely and becomes light amber gold. This parts a little tricky as if it gets too dark, it wlll solidify faster as it cools.
Once you get the right color, add in the pats of butter. It will bubble up really nicely to let you know it's working. Allow the butter to melt completely for about a minute.
Pour in the heavy cream and allow it to bubble up once again. Yep! It's working.
Let it boil for about 30 seconds. Remove from the heat.
Stir in the fleur de sel to combine. Say Grace and enjoy!!
