Summer Blackberry Lemonade
A freshly squeezed homemade lemonade infused with fresh and sweet blackberries make for a refreshing summer treat!
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1 pint of blackberries
- 9 medium lemons juiced (about 1.5 cups)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 8 c. water cold
- Lemon slices garnish
- Blackberries garnish
In a medium saucepan, simmer and dissolve sugar into 1 c. water.
Add blackberries and lemon zest and simmer for 10 minutes.
Pour syrup and press blackberries through a sieve to release all of the juice into a large 4 quart pitcher and allow to cool.
Once cooled, add lemon juice and stir.
Add 8 c. cold water and stir
Serve over ice with lemon slices and blackberries. Say Grace and enjoy!!
