Sweet & Spicy Baked Beans

The perfect sweet-heat of a combo for your next BBQ this summer!!
Serves: 12
  • ½ lb. ground Sweet Italian turkey sausage, I use Turkey Store
  • ½ lb. ground Hot Italian turkey sausage
  • 2 (28oz.) cans vegetarian beans, drained
  • 1 (15.5 oz.) can mild chili beans, drained
  • 1 (15.5 oz.) can hot chili beans, drained
  • 1 (15.5 oz.) can spicy hot chili beans, drained
  • ¾ c. onions, chopped (about ½ medium onion)
  • ¾ c. brown sugar
  • ½ c. ketchup
  • ¼ c. bbq sauce
  • 2 T. mustard
  • 2 T. hot sauce
  1. Brown sausage in a small skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Drain and toss into a large bowl.
  2. Add beans, onion, brown sugar, ketchup, bbq sauce, mustard and hot sauce to the browned sausage. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour into a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Say Grace and enjoy!
  4. Alternative Cooking Method - Place in a slow cooker for 6 hours on low or 3 hours on high
